While many conveyor distributors are used to quote turnarounds taking up to a week or more, Modular Conveyor Express (MCE) strives to return them in 24 hours. This is the bar that’s set at a company who understands that reducing downtime is of the utmost importance.
“We have a phone queue and any one of us can pick up that call. Distributors will actually get a live person,” says John Pesicek, National Distribution Manager for MCE. “We’re so committed to our response times being the best in the industry, we actually have a bit of an internal competition to see who can get it to the customer the fastest.”
“We try to get quotes turned around within 24 hours or less, and they’ll not only get a quote, but they'll get a drawing, too, using our CAD blocks,” Pesicek said. “They can use our CAD blocks to ensure proper fit within the allocated space of their production facilities.”
Pesicek, who has been with MCE since 2014 and in the conveyor industry for 20+ years, is primarily responsible for sourcing distributors, matching them with MCE and then providing ongoing support.
“We work hard to find our distributors good quality leads, and then support them by making joint sales calls, hosting lunch-and-learns, providing factory application and design support as needed,” Pesicek explained. “We pride ourselves on creating strong relationships with our distributors. Our responsive and fast turnaround is not just lip service.”
Pesicek and MCE Inside Sales Rep. Brett Bubolz are the faces behind the lightning-fast response times—and the faces that distributors come to rely on for support throughout the selling process.
Bubolz, who is responsible for managing MCE’s distributor locator, says MCE’s eyes are always on the distributor. “We manage end-user customers for the benefit of our distributors,” Bubolz noted. “Our biggest goal is to drive more and more leads to our distributors all the time.”
“We not only build relationships, but we provide strong application support by ensuring that our distributors are well-trained throughout the sales process and beyond,” Bubolz added.
Bubolz is primarily responsible for application support, including sourcing the conveyor solution in collaboration with the distributors or even with end users.
“We’ll pull up AutoCAD and share our screens over a Zoom call to help source the perfect conveyor solution,” Bubolz said. “We can see where they need to have motors, etc. all in one team call.”
Responsive Service and Support Before, During and After a Sale
