Distributors, See What Exceptional Support Looks Like with MCE
July 28, 2023
MCE Distribution Managers John Pesicek and Nick White go far beyond what traditional channel managers do to support our distributors and integrators. John’s been with MCE for about a decade, and while Nick is new to MCE, he leverages more than a decade of experience in distributor network management in his new role. In this interview, John and Nick share their vision for partnering with our distributors and integrators, and how MCE is able to deliver repeatedly for our shared end-user clients.
Q: What’s different about the way MCE supports its distributors and integrators?
John: Our goal is to be the easiest conveyor company to work with. For that to happen, we need to be easily accessible to every distributor. Email and text for sure, but a lot of our distributors prefer to pick up the phone, and we have live, real-time discussions every day. They know that when they call, we’ll answer.
Nick: Our distributors and integrators can lean on us as their conveyor experts, and we try to make that relationship as easy as possible. We work on projects cooperatively with our distributors in conjunction with their customers to ensure goals and outcomes match. We accompany distributors on-site surveys and offer virtual technical product training. They count on the MCE team for technical and automation selling experience.
Q: How does MCE create advantages for its distributors?
John: We understand the distributor sales cycle, and that gives us insight into how to best support them. One of the ways we create an advantage right from the get-go is our commitment to providing RFQ responses within 24 hours – and in a usable format. Our responses come back to them quickly in a Word doc, and we also provide an AutoCAD drawing. They’re able to integrate this information efficiently into their proposal and get back in touch with their prospect or customer with timely, detailed information to move the conversation closer to the finish line.
Nick: We can be so quick because we do a lot of due diligence upfront, asking questions that perhaps the end-user customer or even the distributor hasn’t thought of. We also understand other parts of the line, from robotics and packaging to sensors and safety. By asking the right questions we can help our distributors provide a superior proposal and help our internal team get comprehensive, accurate RFQs turned around quickly.
Q: What is the key to success in supporting MCE’s distributors and integrators?
Nick: Our distributor network is the very lifeblood of MCE. We need to make sure we are not only available but have the proper kinds of tools and support our partners need to successfully train their team and implement projects for their customers.

John: Actively listening to them. What’s important to them is what’s important to us. We listen, we offer recommendations, and we support our distributors and integrators in making the final recommendations for our shared end-user customers.
I’d like to add that I’ll be in MCE’s booth C-2214 at Pack EXPO Las Vegas in September. If you’re attending the show, please stop by – let’s have a conversation!
